Yellowstone-Day 1

An early start from Lander fuelled by an Egg McMuffin north through the Wind River Indian Reservation, passing the casino and trailer park and stopping for a nice river/aspen vista, on through Debois, a small cowboy themed town and into the Teton Forest, across The Continental divide and looming in front the Teton Range.

Entering The Grand Teton National Park at Moran Junction photos were taken at the Divide and at Oxbow Bends where the range in beautifully reflected in the still water.

After a quick coffee we enter Yellowstone.

First impressions….where are all The Critters?

Quick stoat Lewis Falls, nothing to write home about and onto West Thumb Geyser Basin (and I don’t care what the Americans say, its geezer.)

Quick stop after to pick up some great silhouettes at The Midway Basin and then stuck in a bison traffic jam.

Onto West Yellowstone, home for 6 nights.D75_3505 D75_3343 D71_1877 D71_1872
